Queen Mary representatives announced a New Years celebration on the Queen Mary that will span five cities. Aboard the Queen Mary, at the port in Long Beach in California, organizers have festivities planned that will include New Orleans, Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, and Hollywood. The evening celebration begins at 8 p.m. and continues until 1 a.m.

Guests are invited to have Hurricanes on the Promenade deck in the spirit of New Orleans and Bourbon Street. The huge glasses filled with the rum concoction will help passengers celebrate the New Year New Orleans style. Cajun food, Mardi Gras beads, and jazz music will also be on deck.

In the Royal Room, Russian Mules will be the drink of choice. Aerialists and hip hop music will be the backdrop for this celebration.

The Sports Room will be filled with dragon dancers, lion dancers and a Kung Fu show for the Chinese flavor of Beijing. On the Verandah deck, passengers can look forward to sushi, sakitinis, karaoke, and DJ Barbie will spin her top 40 hits to celebrate Tokyo.

Finally, guests can sip champagne and dance to the Hedge Hog Swing Band in the Grand Salon to experience Hollywood’s glamour. Rooms may be booked aboard the Queen Mary, cabanas and other extras are available here.
