Christmas lights are up for a relatively short time, so it’s usually best to do your planning before Thanksgiving to see the lights before the holidays get too hectic. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney has covering the buildings, throughout Disney Hollywood Studios. Holiday music plays in the background while the crowds meander, gawk at, and photograph the holiday light display. You can see the Christmas lights from November 7 to January 4 at Disney Hollywood Studios. The  holiday scenes are included with the admission fee to the park.

 

2. Bellingrath Gardens  in Alabama

Christmas Lights at the Bellingrath Gardens are usually up from late November, after Thanksgiving to January. The displays include  more than 3 million lights. Bellingrath Gardens is over 65 acres, and you can expect to see at least a thousand twinkling displays. They are up from November 28 to January 3, 2014. Bellingrath Gardens is closed on Christmas day and New Years Day.

 

3. Blossoms of Lights, Denver, Colorado

Denver Colorado’s Blossoms of Lights features over a million lights. The passages in the Denver Botanic Gardens are lit, and food, drinks, and entertainment are available, so the you get more than lights. The display is up from Dec. 5, 2014 to January 1, 2015

 

4. Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights in Georgia

Callaway Gardens Fantasy in Lights is one of the Top 10 Places to see holiday lights, according to National Geographic. This light display has 15 scenes and 8 million lights. Overnight packages are available, so you can stay the night after you enjoy the holiday scenery. The holiday exhibitions are up from November 21, 2014 to December 30, 2014.

 

5. Newport Beach Holiday Lights Parade in California

The Newport Beach Holiday Lights Parade lasts from December 17-21, 2014. Although it is only around for a few days, it’s worth it to see the 100 ships will be decorated. The parade is 14 miles long and can be seen from various places along the route. See the holiday lights parade for free along Bay Shore and other places along the route.
