Belize is south of Mexico and its southern border is shared with Guatemala. Belize is in the Caribbean. The Caribbean Sea is on the eastern side of this country. English is the official language in Belize, however, local people largely speak a Creole language. Belize City is the main city there, but you’ll find many of the luxury resorts in Belize in the Ambergris Caye, Placencia and San Ignacio areas.
Ambergris Caye is the largest of the Belize islands, and San Pedro is the main town there. Ambergris Caye is home of the Belize Barrier Reef, protected reefs for incredible snorkeling and diving experiences. The beaches are extremely beautiful with powder-white sand. The area is so breathtaking that it was the romantic filming location for the reality TV show, Temptation Island.
