A sweet as Kandi wedding is highly elegant, sophisticated, and extremely luxurious. Kandi Burruss taught the world that just about any venue could be transformed into a magical place for a wedding. All it takes is  a lot of imagination and a generous budget. The wedding had 350 guests and was held at the Le Fais Do-do,   a venue on Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta.  Le Fais Do-do offers space for nuptials and special events.

The Atlanta wedding venue is a family business that also provides event coordination from start to finish. Couples can rent the space for 10 hours for weddings at Le Fas Do-do. Fees range from $2,000 to $3,500, depending on the day(s) needed.

Anyone who has seen the episodes of Kandi’s Wedding on BravoTV, which showed the reality TV star’s staff planning the wedding, saw the extreme transformation of Le Fais Do-do.

The bride chose the theme ‘Coming to America”, because the singer and reality TV star met her husband in Africa while filming an episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. The ceremony included an African inspired dance reminiscent of the dance in the movie. The dance was coordinated by Chanita Foster and Kwame Waters. The event also included performances by Musiq Soulchild, who sung Don’t Change when the bride entered. Q Parker and Jevon Hill and the Band also performed Hear Us. The nuptials reportedly cost about $400,000, according an article in In Touch magazine.

The bride wore a $20,000 gown designed by Atlanta designer and friend of the bride, Reco Chappele. The reception was like a mini concert with live performances from celebrity musicians. Of course the reception had an extensive menu with at least three food stations:  a sushi station, a Southern cuisine station, a carving station, a noodle station, and finally, a dessert station. Chef Roble was the caterer of choice for Kandi’s wedding. Chef Roble has prepared meals for President Obama, Michael Jackson, and Leonardo DiCaprio.  Guests at the reception had everything from posh cuisine to comfort food.

This star-studded event was well-done and definitely an eye Kandi wedding. We think that there might soon be a long list of brides-to-be  who aim to have their nuptials at the Le Fais Do-Do.
