Do you like shoes? Love them? Well, maybe you should make your way to The Landmark Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong for the hotel’s fashion teas which will highlight Jimmy Choo’s Spring and Summer line. Yes. That’s right. Jimmy Choo the famous designer with some of the hottest handbags and shoes on the planet is collaborating with the Mandarin. That translates into a swank tea time with cute cakes shaped like Jimmy Choo’s shoes and handbags. The creative culinary team at the Mandarin are preparing smoked salmon cucumber sandwiches which will resemble clutch bags. Guests will be treated to a leopard patterned clutch (made of chocolate, sorry) during the Mandarin Oriental tea time.
Other goodies on the menu include substantial bites like Ham Mousse Sandwiches with Savora Mustard. Foie Gras High Heels on Crispy Brioche Bread, and Smoked Salmon Sandwiches with Cucumber and Cream Cheese. Guests can also look forward to a substantial number of sweets. The sweet flavors are created with chocolate, passion fruit, raspberry, mango, and strawberry.
The Jimmy Choo tea time gatherings will cost 260HKD ($33) Mondays through Fridays and 280HKD ($36) on weekends from April 2 through May 5. Shhhh, but tea time guests will receive a special gift from Jimmy Choo while supplies last.
For uber luxury, the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong has an accompanying hotel package that will include admittance for two into the Jimmy Choo tea time held at the Mandarin’s Mo Bar, and a pair of Jimmy Choo Shoes from the 24:7 collection. The shoes are valued of up to 5,000 HKD. Rates for the L900 package start at 11,800 HKD or about $1,521.
