Carnival Cruises announced a new cruise to Cuba, which is hoped start in May 2016. The destination will be a part of Carnival’s new Fathom cruise brand. Passengers will cruise to Cuba on the Adonia, a 710-passenger ship which take the passengers to Cuba for volunteer social -impact voyages, voyages based in faith, and humanitarian missions.

The Adonia is a 710-passenger ship that is planned to cruise to Cuba beginning in May 2016.

The U.S. State Department agreed to allow the travel into Cuba as long as the trips support the people who live there. Carnival is still in discussions with Cuba for approval and finalization of the planned voyages.

With Carnival Corporation's new fathom brand, travelers will work alongside people in global communities in need, including Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
