Baltimore is hosting a seven day large-scale light festival from March 28 to April 3, 2016. In addition to the 29 light displays, the festival will feature 100 performances and 50 concerts. Acts will include hip-hop, classical, rock, R&B, jazz, and electronic music.
Musical performers will include:
- Clear for takeoff
- Dan Deacon
- Dunson
- Symphony Number One
- MC Booze Band
- and more
A walkway, over a mile long will be lit with artistic lights near the waterway. Baltimore has a special connection with illuminations. The city was the first to light its city streets with gas lights. This historic event occurred in 1816.
