JetBlue and Cuba Travel Services added a second twice weekly round-trip flights to Cuba between JFK and Jose Marti International Airport. This JetBlue/Cuba Travel Services charter service leaves JFK on Tuesdays. It’s added to JetBlue’s weekly Friday flight that’s between JFK and Jose Marti in Cuba.

Cuba Travel Services is an indirect flight service that uses airplanes from several airlines to provide flights to Cuba. For example, the company also arranges flights for Cuba for American Airlines and Sun Country Airlines.

Altogether, JetBlue has six flights between the United States and Cuba. The other flights to Cuba depart from Tampa, Santa Clara, and Ft. Lauderdale. Passengers who take JetBlue to Cuba ride an Airbus A320 plane that seats 150 people.

The JetBlue charter flights from New York began in July. They were the first flights available to Cuba from a major airline, according the JetBlue.

Flights from New York’s JFK airport leave at 12:30 p.m. and arrive 3:30 p.m. local time in Havana. From Havana, the flights leave at 4:30 p.m. and return to New York at 8:30 p.m.

The United States loosened some of its restrictions, making it easier for more Americans to go to Cuba from the U.S. While still not available for leisure travel, there are 12 approved reasons for U.S. citizens to travel to Cuba departing from America.

Cuba Travel Services arranges the programs, hotels, and programming necessary to arrange legal transportation to Americans to Cuba.
